Zen Garden Set

The Japanese zen garden has several philosophies behind the design but in Western culture it is mainly recognised as a form of meditation. The word Zen is a type of Buddhism that emphasizes inner peace and concentration.

Zen gardens are based on simplicity and consist largely of sand or gravel with only a few rocks and perhaps a shrub. Raking patterns in the sand has a calming effect and helps with self-reflection, these mini table top versions make great gifts for a stressed out friend!
